Our Representative Aska Kuwabara Spoke at Venture Café Tokyo's Thursday Gathering #400
On Thursday, 15 October 2026, Aska Kuwabara, Representative Director of anosa.ai,
joined the panel discussion "Reimagining Education and Careers in the age of AI"
at Venture Café Tokyo's "Homecoming Thursday Gathering #400".
Thursday Gathering is Venture Café Tokyo's signature weekly event, which began in
March 2018 and has since welcomed more than 120,000 participants.
The session was organized by the Global Shapers Community - Yokohama Hub and held in English.
The panel looked at how AI is reshaping the way people learn and work, and
what those shifts mean for students, graduates and working professionals. Aska was
joined on stage by Declan Clowry (AI CTO, ex-Palantir) and Haissam Khan (Project
Manager and AI Champion at Air Liquide Japan), with Haris Gulzar (AI Researcher at
Samsung) moderating.
Aska spoke about how AI changes the way children learn, citing research that children
between 14 months and five years old ask an average of 107 questions an hour. Rather
than following a fixed curriculum, she argued, AI makes it possible to build learning
that follows each child's own curiosity. She also pointed to what AI does not have,
responsibility, and suggested that education in the age of AI should focus on agency:
the capacity to judge for ourselves and to own the outcomes of what we do.
We will continue to take part in conversations like this one as we explore how
children and the people around them connect through conversation.
